To the Zoo!

I Love the zoo! So much! I know I'm a "grown-up" and shouldn't still get this excited over a field trip, but I guess, when it comes to animals- zoos, safaris, aquariums, etc..., I'll always be a kid at heart. :-)

My school (the one I work at, not the one I go to) took a trip to the Zoo last week! Or, as my kids say "to the Zooooooooooo!!"

Very Excited to get going!

It was a chilly day, but, all bundled up, we had a great time!

We got to ride the train around the zoo!

I'm not sure what the boys were looking at, but this was our little group headed around the zoo

HE knows you're a girl...

isn't that a refreshing thought? (ok, well, if you're a guy reading this, then maybe not, but keep reading, it still makes sense, I promise) While going through a study from one of my favorite teachers, BM, she made this very simple statement. It wasn't really the focus of the lesson, but an important side note.

HE knows who you are. HE knows where you've been. HE knows where you're going.

Know why?

HE made you!!

HE has been there every step of the way and will be till the end. HE's seen the end.

And no matter where you're going, no matter what you're coming from, HE has made you the way you are. Don't try and back out of where HE tells you in your heart you're to go or to do.

HE. MADE. YOU. HE knows the desires of your heart and exactly what will fill your life with passion and joy for life and for HIM.

I know I sometimes wonder: Do you remember who I am? Do you remember what happened last time? Do you remember that I'm a girl?

He remembers. And that's why He's set this path before me. That's why He's set yours before you.

Isn't that refreshing?

Passion 2010

"God is the one being in the earth for whom self-exaltation is not a needy form of egotism, but an act of infinite giving"
- J.P.

Passion 2010 in Atlanta, GA was amazing! If you're not familiar, Passion is an organization focusing on 18-25 year olds and their passion for HIM. They have conferences all over the world, and just had an amazing one with over 21,000 students from all over the US, as well as many from places like Brazil, Ukraine, Bermuda, China, England, Scotland, Wales, Mexico, Uganda, Australia, and more! Here's a little look at an inspiring 4 days!

This is a bunch of us waiting at the MARTA station (subway) at about 1:00am after the conference waiting to head back to the house for a few hours of sleep before heading back early the next morning!

Waiting in line was pretty common when you put 21,000 college students together in one place, but we were always having fun! This time we're waiting for...

the escalators!

A Blur...

I know I have not updated in forever! The first half of this semester has flown by in a blur of classes, exams, clinicals, sorority stuff, football games, work, birthdays, and wedding planning for friends!

Football game during my sorority's family weekend

Celebrating my dad and grandma's birthday
(yeah, they have the same birthday, how cool is that?)

Practicing walking with one of my kids at work

My sorority "family" has gotten so big! This is us at chapter retreat
(I'm a great great grand big now!!)

And finally, a day off at the parks where we met Lucy and Ricky!

And, as the semester starts to wind down, I'm preparing for exams and, of course, the holidays! All the while, becoming more and more aware that the days of exams and school breaks are coming very quickly to an end, and "real life" is just around the corner. Scary and so exciting, I'm trusting HIM with the future; stay tuned, because, with HIM, there is never a dull moment...big things to come :-)

Impossible

"It doesn't matter what you've heard
Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason
For someone not to try.
Everybody's scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
But it'll be alright"

impossible steps to come...
